The book begins in January and continues through December. There is an introduction and a theme for each month. New messages are shown on a single page for every day of the month.
The short message promises to lead us—the protagonist, the hero or shero—on a journey that is full with toxic and dangerous characters, toughening us for the struggles in life that lie ahead of us, and helping us see the world in its true perspective.
The book should not be read quickly, as you would with any other book. Instead, heed the message in accordance with the month and day. I started reading the message from November since I purchased the book in the month of November. I am unsure about the message for December or perhaps the next day. I don’t have a pressing need to finish the book. Take each thought and allow it to linger in your mind for the duration of that day. Let It Direct Your Steps.

It Is A Book That Can Be Read Quickly or Slowly. No story will enthral you; instead, 366 little stories packed with learning will.
For those of us who have finished reading all of Robert Greene’s books, this book is a fantastic addition that functions almost like a course guide. Although Robert’s perspective on this is different, I think it is a necessary addition that enables one to be realistic and fully embrace the laws and stories that Robert illustrates in each entry of this book. In the end, not all of Roberts’ books and the wisdom he imparts to us can be understood by reading and thinking back on the past. True mastery of oneself and of life’s events may be attained through experience and application. Self-awareness, meditation, and stoicism are virtues that may lead to the genuine peace, fulfilment, empathy, and enlightenment that we seek in life.
